  1. This species has been recorded on the upper Uchiza valley on several sites, in 2014 and 2020 (e.g. https://ebird.org/checklist/S92563102, see ebird for other checklists). The area between the San martin/Amazonas records and the Huanuco ones, seems to be little disturbed, hence could be a continuous tract of forest holding the species. There haven’t been estimations of the population, but at least seems to be stable.

  3. Preliminary proposal

    Based on available information, our preliminary proposal for the 2022.2 Red List would be to adopt the proposed classifications outlined in the initial forum discussion.

    There is now a period for further comments until the final deadline on 24 July 2022, after which the recommended categorisations will be put forward to IUCN. The final 2022.2 Red List categories will be published on the BirdLife and IUCN websites in December 2022, following further checking of information relevant to the assessments by both BirdLife and IUCN.

  5. Recommended categorisation to be put forward to IUCN

    The final categorisation for this species has not changed. Rusty-tinged Antpitta is recommended to be listed as Least Concern.
