This species are commonly occur in the western part of the Flores, especially in Mbeliling-Tj kerita mese and Nggorang – Bowosie IBA, where it could be heard near the coast up to 1200 m asl, in the wooded area, forested area and even in bamboo thicket and traditional plantation. thus I agree with the proposed criteria of Least Concern.
