Agree with uplist due to deforestation. Note that it is quite common in logged forest – as common as in primary I’d say — and has been found in riparian strips. So doubt degradation and fragmentation is having a major additional impact, suggest that text needs revising.
I don’t disagree with comment on its survival in riparian strips, but riparian strips are highly vulnerable to further degradation and loss (drying out, fire-prone, hollowing out, encroachment) so very risky for longer term conservation.

The final categorisation for this species has not changed. Bornean Ground-cuckoo is recommended to be listed as Vulnerable, approaching the threshold for listing as threatened under Criteria A2c+3c+4c.
