There is still a lot of logged forest conversion slated especially in Kalimantan. In Sabah, this species lives in logged forests, probably as much as in primary.
when saying ‘logged forest’ just how degraded the species withstand? I’ve only encountered it in logged forest where the forest has been selectively logged, once or twice over, with plenty of tall trees and an open canopy available. I’ve yet to encounter the species in heavily degraded logged forest lacking several emergent trees across a landscape.

The final categorisation for this species has not changed. Bornean Bristlehead is recommended to be listed as Vulnerable under Criteria A3c+4c.
